Albacore Flies Class…Albies are already showing
up at the coast and folks are planning trips.
Consequently, we’ve scheduled an “emergency” albie fly class this Thurs. Oct. 9, from
One Night Stand…This month’s one-nighter
tying class will focus on several Stonefly patterns. These are new patterns we’ve not done
previously, including a realistic Yellow Stonefly. Here’s
a good chance to broaden you stonefly selection and learn some new techniques
in the process. Cost is $10 to cover material, handouts etc. Class is Thursday Oct 30th from
Fishing
update…Delayed Harvest for trout is in full swing and good reports have
come in from several locations.
Stocking did not happen as previously done due to a variety of
factors: more DH streams to cover, truck
“problems” etc. But, as far as we know
stocking has been completed, but with perhaps fewer fish in some cases.
Smallmouth fishing continues to be
good. Water temp in the New has been
hovering around 60 degrees and the topwater bite was pretty good on Monday, and
some wet wading was tolerable due to warm air temps and bright sunshine.. There’s still some good smallie action to be
had so don’t give up yet.
