to learn to tie, and to develop good technique,
than by taking this class

Products…new
products are rolling in. 2008 Fly

received; The SA Sharkskin line ($99)

Jan/Feb closures…Not only will the
Charlotte Fly Fishing show cause us to close for 3 days while manning our booth
there…there are some other trade shows in early 2008 that will require closing
the store. Watch for details and
remember, it’s always a good idea to call before traveling to far to see us.
New Year’s Sales…To
welcome in the New Year, we are offering some great deals: 40% off down vests and coats; 40% off Columbia insulated jackets; 30% off North Face and Sierra Designs Tents
and Kelty Tarps; 30% off Kelty and Alps
6-person tents; 30% off Western
Mountaineering down bags; new additions
to the 50% off rack and more….
“Hottest
Undies in Town”…
Terramar is one of the industry leaders in silk, polyester and polyester/wool
blends. Their 2-layer Body
Sensors EC2 Quik-Dri for $25.99 is
our best seller and based on
customer feedback it’s better/warmer than the more expensive “Under Armor” folks have tried…and more
comfortable too. Polyester, not poly pro
or nylon, is definitely the material of choice as far as synthetic
materials. Modern wool, such as Merino,
and wool blends are excellent as well, and very comfortable…
Simms products have
arrived…. More Simms products will be phased in over the
next few months. So far we’re stocking Freestone Waders $199 ,
Freestone mesh vest $79, Wader bag $39, Neoprene Socks $20,
Web Belt for casual wear $12
Reminder on store hours: we’ve reduced Sat. hours… now closing at
Hot Seller…the new book Western
NC Fly Guide by J. Hall, has
become our fastest selling book,
but that’s not surprising. It’s full of great photos and stream information on
many (not all) of the popular and some of the lesser known streams. Also
great info on fly selection and hatch
charts. Definitely a resource that
any fly fisherman will want…
