Stuff & compression sacks…totally waterproofIf you haven’t been paying attention, Outdoor Research has redone much of their line of accessories.  The Hydrolite Dry Sacks and Hydroseal Drycomp (compression) sacks are ultralight and totally waterproof.  At approx. $18 and $32, these will keep your gear, clothing, sleeping bag totally dry….

 

Ultralight Bivi Mummy…An overbag or bivouac sack that is just about all you ever need to protect your sleeping bag.  Less than 7oz!  Yep, less than ½ pound!  Repellent but breathable top, and silicon impregnated bottom.  Only $60.   Combined with an ultralight tarp you have a great shelter.  More versatile, much lighter, less expensive and “safer” than a Gore-tex bivi….
